WHO IT'S FOR
For anyone with sensitive access points who spends time in a car. Chemo runs, dialysis, infusion days - the drive is part of the hard part too. This makes it a little easier.
HOW IT WORKS
Three ways to wear it
01
Single pad
Place one pad directly over your port or access point for a soft barrier between the belt and skin. Good for shorter rides or lighter sensitivity.
02
Side by side
Attach both pads together for a wider cushioned surface. Spreads the belt's contact so no single spot takes the pressure.
03
Spaced apart
Place the two pads above and below the port or access point with a gap between. The belt lifts off your port entirely - no contact, no pressure.
FAQs
How does it attach to the seatbelt?
Each pad has a velcro closure that wraps around the shoulder strap. Slide it on, press the velcro closed, and reposition whenever you need to. No tools, no permanent installation.
Will it fit any vehicle?
Yes. The Belt Buffer is designed to fit standard shoulder-strap seatbelts in most passenger vehicles. It attaches to the diagonal strap, not the lap belt.
Which configuration should I use?
Most port users start with the spaced-apart setup - one pad above the port, one below - because it lifts the belt off the site completely. If your port sits higher on the chest or closer to the shoulder, a single pad or the side-by-side setup may give you better coverage. Many people try all three over the course of treatment as their needs shift.
Is it still safe to wear my seatbelt with the Belt Buffer on?
Yes. The Belt Buffer sits on the outside of the strap and does not interfere with how your seatbelt retracts, tensions, or locks. Always wear your seatbelt as directed.
What is it made from?
62.2% polyester, 35.3% cotton, and 2.5% spandex with a velcro closure and interior cushioning. Designed to feel gentle against sensitive skin.
Can it be washed?
Yes. Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry.
How many belt buffers come in one pack?
Each pack includes two belt buffers that you can position in up to three configurations.
