Always WholeLimited Edition
More than what's visible
For every phase of you.
Read the story ↓If you live with cancer, autoimmune disease, chronic illness, or a body that can change from one day to the next, you probably understand the moon better than you realize.
Some nights, it's bright and full.
Other nights, only a sliver shows.
Some nights, you can barely see it at all.
But the moon itself never stopped
being whole.
That's the part we couldn't stop thinking about.
Chronic illness has phases, too.
What people see
The brighter phases.
The days you feel almost like yourself.
Those are often the only parts people see.
What's harder to see
- Infusion appointments
- Scans and bloodwork
- Medications
- Pain you've gotten good at hiding
- Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
- The bathroom trips nobody knows about
- Anxiety before results
- Scars hidden underneath your clothes
- Cancelled plans
- The days when getting through the day is the accomplishment
Someone might look at you during one of your brighter phases and think they're seeing the whole picture.
They aren't.
Just like looking at a crescent moon.
What's visible is only the part that happens to be illuminated.
The rest is still there.
It's our nod to invisible illness — but also something bigger.
When illness takes pieces of you —
— it can feel like there is less of you.
There isn't.
A crescent moon isn't a broken moon.
A half moon isn't half a moon.
And a person going through a difficult phase isn't half a person.
You are still whole, even in the phases when only a little of your light is showing.
That's what we want this design to represent.
A line worth asking about.
Maybe someone just sees a beautiful night-sky hoodie.
Maybe they notice the moon and ask what it means.
And we kind of hope they do.
Because then you get to tell them:
The moon is always whole. You just can't always see all of it.
Because what's better than a BeWell hoodie? One that feels like it understands you.
And because this is BeWell, the meaning isn't replacing the function.
The hoodie made to represent chronic illness is also made to actually live through it with you.
Infusions. Ports. IVs. Blood draws. Treatment days. Regular days.
All of your phases.
